ITEMS OF THE WEEK: A Little Bit Fancy

The weather has warmed up, and so has the silly season. The months of Christmas parties and festivities are upon us, and quite frankly, each year our wardrobes need to be readied for combat. In hues of blue, this week’s winning SurfStitch items are a little bit sophisticated and are very on trend. Casual enough to start with afternoon drinks on the riverside, and smart enough for the corporate Christmas party on your bosses yacht, we bring you two pieces (a dress and a dress shirt of course!) that are stunning and suitable this silly season.

Ladies, can we get a round of applause for…

Fairground Cha Ching Dress – Aqua

This Fairground number is tight in all the right places, with laced detailing that accentuates the waistline, and a high neckline that makes it A-O.K for wear in the company of bosses, corporate contacts and extended family! Classy and hot, in a rockin’ turquoise shade, this dress is stunning and sophisticated! Wear with flats in the afternoon, and swap to heels for the evening.

Gentlemen, can we get a round of applause for…

Ben Sherman Plain SS Shirt – Blue Jay

Short sleeved for the afternoon, button-down for the evening, this shirt is in a perfect place of limbo between casual and elegant – with the blue sheen that makes it a little more interesting. Lightweight for the balmy summer weather, this shirt is a silly-season winner. Wear with chino shorts and loafers in the afternoon, and with suit pants in the evening.
