Hello all!!

My name is India Edwards (that’s me above!) and I’m going to be keeping in touch whilst I travel Europe over the next four months via this blog! A little bit about myself: I’m 22 years old, have just finished four years of uni and am now taking a year ‘off’ from the ‘real world’ (i.e. finding a job) to save up some money in order to fulfil my a dream of travelling Europe. I’ve always said that I would only travel Europe when I had enough time and enough money, and at the moment I definitely have enough time and (hopefully!) enough money!

I wouldn’t say I’m an extremely well seasoned traveller, but I have seen some of the world. In 2011/12 I travelled around South America with 2 of my sisters and a friend for a few months, and only this past summer I travelled around South East Asia (along with the rest of Australia) with a friend, so I know the general ins and outs of backpacker life – and  I’ll be sharing more of these with you along my trip.

I set off on the 14th (only a few days now!) to London for a few days to see the city and catch up with some friends before heading to Paris to begin my trip with Busabout. Rough itinerary includes Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, Munich, Vienna, Prague, Florence, Hvar, Dubrovnik, Rome, Cinque Terre, Nice, Barcelona, Madrid and some other places in between. I’ll be filling you in about my journey, including some tips and advice on ideas where to go (and where not to go!), where to eat, what to eat and how to have a big trip based on a reasonable (student based) budget. I’ll talk about the experiences I have, the people I meet, the food, the fashions, and of course the places that I’ll be seeing – hopefully it will feel like you’re travelling right there with me! If you have any specific things you’d like me to focus on I’d love to hear about them!

In the next few days I’ll be posting about what I’m packing – what I can’t travel without, what I feel is the most space-effective way to pack (roll everything people!).

Until next time!

India :)
