Jack Lynch is no stranger to the wetsuit… Like many surfers, he has a bunch of them, and treats them like a second skin. So we caught up with Jack to get his thoughts on each wetsuit entry system.

CHEST ZIP

Pros:
Zip is above water level when sitting in the water.
Better stretch in back panels.
Zip is close to hands and visible to put on

Cons:
Uncomfortable to pull over head
Panel in front can fill with water
Performance Appearance

BACK ZIP

Pros:
Traditional appearance that I prefer
Easy entry to pull on through top of suit.
Easy exit by pulling it down

Cons:
Difficult to pull the zip up.
Velcro around neck can be uncomfortable, especially if not closed right.

Pros:
Comfortably due to lack of zips and freedom of panels to stretch.
Lets less water in

Cons:
Difficulty to put on
