Watch: Oakley 'LUMA' with Ethan Ewing
The legends at Oakley and Garage Entertainment have teamed up to produce an epic West Australian surf adventure film called LUMA. They gathered up two of the hottest up and coming Australian surfers, packed them into a car with a film crew and sent them off on a classic coming-of-age surf pilgrimage to some of Australia’s heaviest and most remote waves. Watch Ethan Ewing and Sheldon Simkus tackle uncharted waters and open up about their experiences in this behind the scenes clip.
Does the name Ethan Ewing ring a bell?
Ethan is the 17 year old wonder kid from North Stradbroke Island, lighting up the WQS right about now. He’s well on his way to qualifying for the WSL, ready to mix it up with the big boys. After watching this profile piece, Ethan will be your new favourite surfer and an easy pick for your fantasy team come 2017. Ethan has the rail work of Mick Fanning and the style of A.I – a dangerous combo for a kid just 17 years of age.
We wanted to get to know the kid from Straddie and watch him flair without the jersey on. So Oakley and Garage have teamed up to produce LUMA – a Western Australian surf adventure, featuring Oakley team riders Ethan Ewing and Sheldon Simkus – raw and away from the competitive scene.
LUMA, filmed in Oakley Prizm colour drops next week, but in the meantime you can check out the following profile piece on Ethan, as well as behind-the-scenes look at the trip.
