February 21st, 2014 saw the much anticipated album release of ‘Real Feel’, from Sydney based group, The Holidays. How would we describe the album you ask? In one word, awesome. Although the group had not released an album since their début 4 years ago and have since lost founding member Will  Magnus, the raw energy of The Holidays seems stronger and more engaging than ever.

‘Real Feel’ is a 10 track album with a  variety of indie sounds and melody’s. From slower tunes, to some more up beat, there is no doubt this album appeals to large audiences through the bands already great reputation in the Australian music industry.

Haven’t heard any of The Holidays? Not to worry, we have you covered. ‘Voices Drifting’ is a popular track on the album, with it’s upbeat, catchy lyrics and rhythms. ‘Japan Window’ and the album’s closing 9 minute track ‘Morning Workout’ also keep you wanting more, all with similar, yet at the same time different, styles of music.

It’s evident that the band has sourced inspiration from here, there and everywhere in between, while still managing to throw their own authenticity and originality into the mix. Each track bridges perfectly into one another, allowing for consistency and letting you, the listener, wanting more and more.
