It’s all about the Travelling Gypsy trend at SurfStitch this autumn.

Travelling Gypsy is a whole lot more than the old cliche of being young, wild and free or playing dress-up hippy. It’s about being you, and exploring your own personal creativity – mixing patterns, materials, colours and layers of your choice.

This season, a number of our favourite brands including Auguste, Billabong, O’Neill, Tigerlily and Free People are channeling classic qypsy-esque shapes and fabrics. We’re seeing exciting takes on old favourites, including wide-leg pants, oversized kimonos, loose-fitting playsuits, free-flowing dresses, long-line cardigans, floppy hats and knitted beanies.

To embrace the Travelling Gypsy trend flowing chiffons with earthy bohemian motifs are a great start. Accessorise with pared back wooden or gold bangles and necklaces, and throw on a pair of neutral leather boots or sandals. For your hair, love your natural wave, or try a loose curl. Let your locks flow naturally – don’t try and make them stand still.

And remember, the Travelling Gypsy trend is all about no rules so listen to your heart and follow your instinct.
