A Message of Sustainability: Outerknown

‘Sustainability is the destination. Outerknown is the journey.’

The brainchild of 11-time world champion Kelly Slater and acclaimed designer John Moore, Outerknown prides itself on responsible innovation, with the highest regard for the environment at the forefront of every decision made.

“We created Outerknown to smash the formula. To lift the lid on the traditional supply chain and prove you can actually produce great looking menswear in a sustainable way.” – Kelly Slater

Like most of us, both founders grew up wearing (and were supported by) some of the worlds most recognised labels, though the question soon arose… “…perhaps this is part of the problem. What if we could design the kinds of clothes we love to wear in a more conscious way?” An important message now in play, the pair linked up and now just a few years down the track, Outerknown is alive and well, and of course, is part of the solution.

“We’re surfers who grew up with surf brands, but we grew out of logos. We want to wear clothing that’s made better, fits better and looks better.” – John Moore.

Welcome to the world and values of Outerknown. Welcome to a more sustainable future.
